My son fell on a stick at school and received a puncture wound to his right thigh. I took him to Bransholme Minor Injury Unit where we were seen promptly. Although they couldn't scan the wound for foreign bodies they tried to clean it and noticed that bark was coming out of the wound.
The nurse was polite, professional and very informative. We did still need to attend A&E at Hull Royal Infirmary but we knew the wait was for a good reason.
