My friend has been attending a hospital for a problem with her bowels. She has been promised a referral to a surgeon to get the problem sorted out but that was over 4 months ago. When she inquired about this she was told that the referral had not been done and therefore she has just been left waiting for something that wasn't going to happen. Is this the way the NHS treats its patients?
