"Trying to fight a real infection"

About: University Hospital Wishaw / Trauma & orthopaedics University Hospital Wishaw / X-rays and Scans

(as a relative),

My mother has a serious shoulder infection, which I feel has been disregarded. Treated with antibiotics since October, it has now evolved to ulcers ready to open up. and discharge whatever infection is inside. There has been no tests on the shoulder other than ultrasound. She has pleaded for a MRI scan, which she will get this week, however the Shoulder specialist wont be able to see her until late February. I have asked for a referral to a shoulder specialist in GRI. She is getting scared and confused. Up to now she has been a young person, now she is weak and trying to fight a real infection.
