"Excellent care from all staff"

About: Darlington Memorial Hospital / General surgery

I arrived on the Day Surgery Unit for removal of my gall bladder by keyhole surgery.

From arrival I could not fault the level of care and professionalism from all staff concerned.

I was assigned a named nurse when I arrived on the ward and they would care for me for the whole of the day.

My surgeon explained the whole procedure prior to my operation and also visited me afterwards as did the anaesthetist.

From all nursing staff, the anaesthetist and surgeon gave me the most excellent care throughout my stay.

My stay was extended into the evening through no fault of the staff and I was handed over to the nurse who was also excellent. Thank you to all involved.
