My mam was on ward 41,she was left alone for too long, the only nice staff were the ones that bought the meals round.Back in november 2016 mam was diagnosed with non hodgkin lymphoma,at first we were told that it was low grade, but a week later the consultant came in with a nurse and told us that it was actually a more aggressive lymphoma, they told us that because mam has other health concerns, they cant treat the lymphoma cos that could kill my mam.We couldnt believe what we was being told,me and dad were distraught with the diagnosis. You would think that the consultant and other staff would be more caring and considerate of peoples feelings after being told such heartbreaking news.Mam has been home for six weeks now and she looks well,i just hope they havent got the diagnosis wrong, cos that would be absolutely disgusting,i feel like we were just fobbed off and that they didnt care at all.To be told that awful news and for mam to look so well,it just doesnt make any sense at all.I hope nobody ever feels this way after a loved one has been in hospital and diagnosed with cancer.
"staff are not caring"
