"Blue Badges and Marathons"

The hospital where my wife is staying has been kind enough to make a large area available for people like myself whose disability means that we cant walk very far and so hold a Blue Parking Badge; for this we thank you. However the system our hospital has for dealing with payment or should I say none payment by us Blue Badge holders in my opinion doesn't come up to scratch and makes a mockery of it all.

There are three points in the hospital where the parking ticket can be stamped to get us out of the car park. The main desk situated at one end of the hospital, the general office which is near main desk and physiotherapy, which is no where near a door leading to the car park and is situated down a long corridoor. Consequently I find myself doing a marathon every day normally twice a day, every time I go and visit my sick wife who is on a ward at the opposit end of the hospital from the main desk. Why, oh why cant there be a ticket punch at both ends of the hospital so that we dont have to walk the length of the hospital corridoors, searching for seats to stop and rest every two minutes? Its not like you cant get in at the opposit end of the corridoor near my wifes ward, that is where casualty is (I dont see why they couldnt have a stamp on there as it is manned by at least a receptionist 24 hours a day). I really dont think they thought this out. I think of all the businesses out there, the NHS and hospitals would have got it right considering they are constantly dealing with poor health and mobility.
