My full knee replacement surgery operation at Doncaster Royal Infirmary went very well. Later, the only problem was I had blood blisters that developed beside the scar about one week after surgery. Two months later I am still waiting for the scabs to drop.
The worst bits were the pain of after surgery. The nurses were very good and I was spoiled with the attention that I received from nursing staff. Nothing was too much for them.
I can't think of anything I would like to change: My medicine was given to me at regular times, the bed was made up every morning, the ward was cleaned every day.
A paper boy came round with the daily papers, two ladies came round with books to borrow, the meals were very good with a lovely choice, tea and biscuits every afternoon. No, I can't think of one thing to change.
