Whilst on Section 17 Care in the Community I was visited by the Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) and Crisis Resolution Team everyday. I found this intrusive and counter-productive.
It is like planting something, and taking it up everyday to examine how its roots are growing. It is better to leave the plant to grow good and strong, watering it regularly.
I was told that I was required to go into Rotherham District General Hospital to try a new drug, Seroquel XL. When in hospital I was under pressure to try another drug called Clozapine - which has a fatality rating of 0.85%.
I find Section 3 very restrictive and provides a carte blanche as regards possible treatment.
All the above is fairly subjective; overall I do appreciate the patience, forbearance, and understanding of all the staff - from medical and nursing to occupational therapy and ancillary.
And I do appreciate the opportunity and facility of professional help to get me "back on my feet" and come through my recent "crisis" and take up again where I left off in life, back to "welcome normality".
"I found the daily visits intrusive and counter-productive"
