"Bennafon 7 hearing aids"

About: Kent and Medway

(as the patient),

I asked the doctor for a referral to a hearing test. I got an appointment in 7 days. It was a private company operating through a NHS medical centre in Ramsgate. It took about 45 minutes linked to a computer through headphones. The person testing me was a deaf person and could not have been more caring and attentive.

Soon after I had an appointment for a fitting. A different operator, but again extremely thorough especially how to look after the hearing aid (Bernafon 7). The difference in my hearing is remarkable. I've learned not to turn the volume up too far. That is a mistake I believe so may take, . The digital hearing aid was tuned to amplify the wavelengths of sound that I was lacking, principally the higher notes. I cannot fault the NHS, the private operator ( Hearing Care Centre based in Folkestone) or the aftercare. I was also surprised to find that the batteries for all future use come via the NHS. No complaints.
