I am awaiting a hip resurfacing operation with Inverclyde health board. I was advised that my operation would've been completed by early 2017. I called in early December as I was looking to make plans for the festive period. I was advised that my operation would not be going ahead and the earliest tentative date would be late March, 24 weeks later. I was further advised that the majority of operations don't take place within the 12 week treatment time guarantee period. I was advised to complain, which I did. To date, I have had no response from Inverclyde NHS. I contacted the Cabinet Secretary in December. I received a reply today which basically saying I should be dealing with my local health board and to contact them.
I wonder if I will be seen within 24 weeks. I'm normally a very optimistic and positive person but in this instance, I can be guaranteed that I won't be seen by late March.
