What I liked

my wife had a knee operation, had her own room and was treated exceptionally well

Pre assessment, pre operation and after care was mostly good too

What could be improved

Parking is terrible at certain times of the day

one dissapointing visit when whe had a 5 hour pre operation wait, and person who was supposed to see her didnt show! But all other visits at least 8 were fine.

Anything else?

Would like to see xrays coordinated better with consultant visits i.e xrays booked in for a particular timeslot rather that waiting around

Thank you for your comments. We are pleased that your wife had a positive experience whilst being treated at the NOC.

As you quite rightly point out, parking can be difficult, particularly at peak times and we encourage patients and visitors to use alternatives to driving where possible. There are excellent bus and park and ride services available and details of these can be found on our website at www.noc.nhs.uk/patient guide/how to find us. Regarding your comments about the pre-operation wait – we are aware that occasionally there are delays and we are working hard at resolving these issues. We have passed your comments regarding x-rays to the radiology department.

We have worked hard during the past year on improving the patient experience - all feedback is valued because it helps us address areas that need attention and provides a showcase of areas where we do well.
