Recently spent 3 days on the medical ward.
Most of the staff were friendly but, apart from two senior nurses, I hardly saw the same face twice.
One or two were quite abrupt. People seemed to be in and out of the room constantly. It was very noisy at night.
Sleeping was difficult. Lots of loud talking at the nurses station.
One night, having been told at 9.45pm that my meds were coming, they actually arrived an hour later.
I had managed to sleep, only for the guy to barge into my room and put the light on straightaway.
Rooms are drab.
Having been admitted in quite a poorly way, after a couple of hours, the catering staff came round to ask me to choose dinner and the following days breakfast!
Not good when you're feeling quite sick.
Not important in the scheme of things, but over the course of three days, whilst the food was just about ok, several items were missing from my orders.
If I had a choice, Nuffield Guildford wouldn't be my first for in-stay treatment.
"Poor experience"
