"majority of nurses etc tried to ..."

About: Watford General Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

majority of nurses etc tried to do a good job,but limitations to their effectiveness, lack of funding etc,too many chiefs, not enough indians springs to mind, put money where its needed, not!!! in management pockets.

What could be improved

more information conveyed to relatives, not mis-information!,better standard of meals to pt,better training of aux nurses, some very rude/uncaring attitude, tried to be doctors,

Anything else?

my mil was brought into hospital from care home, she is 76yrs old, originally mis-diagnosed with infection in knee, given anti-biotics etc.stayed in for 6 days, sent back to care home re-admiited next day after collapsing at care home, found to have dvt in legs after i had had strong words over her treatment.

we were being fobbed off with excuses and false information aver her condition.

seems all this hospital/managers are interested in is making their statistics look good, very poor state of affairs, staff restrained/restricted by lack of actual monies on the front line and rules.

complaint has been raised with my mp and health ministry.
