What I liked
this was my fathers 3rd admission and he was t on HDU. It was spotlessly clean and the nurses really attentive and caring. I couldn't fault the doctors care and they kept me fully informed as to his condition. The floor he went to after was also very good-the staff really worked as a team
What could be improved
The care he received on his first admission. I would notice one nurse franticly busy while others were sitting at the desk chatting. if you asked for help it had to wait till 'his nurse ' was able to provide it
Anything else?
Dad was, over his 3 admissions, on 5 different wards.I noticed how much better his care was the last 4 of them compared to the first. So i would say there needs to be one nurse in overall charge of the whole ward.because I understand the hospital does have limited resources maybe staff could be better utilised- for example there seems to be a lot of nurses in the OPD doing non nursing tasks.
