"No diagnosis, no physiotherapy, no counselling"

I had 3 referrals to physiotherapy for the same pain over a four year period and on each occassion was referred back to my GP without treatment...on one occassion the GPs letter said left leg and as the pain was in my right leg, the physio refused to continue seeing me. Second occassion I was advised to self treat for groin pain and as this had no effect on my hip pain, physio referred me back to my GP. Third occasion, I discovered physio had written to my GP intimating there was nothing they could do for me albeit they had no case file and conducted no physical assessment at the initial and only appointment I had with them
I was then sent to pain management for an undiagnosed pain that had received no sustained physiotherapy. The pain resulted from a violent assault and NHS North Lanarkshire offered self management of TENS treatment and painkillers as and when, as the solution. No diagnosis, no physiotherapy, no counselling and a follow up of a phone call requesting their TENS machine (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulator) back intimating the NHS is facing cutbacks!
NHS policy makes for good reading, however the reality for this victim of a violent crime is that NHS policy seems to be empty propoganda.
