"Brilliant team"

About: Derriford Hospital / General surgery

Attended the Surgical Assessment Unit as my GP suspected (later proven) appendicitis.

This was rather out of the blue but at all times during my admission I felt reassured by, and had full confidence in, the team at SAU.

Everyone - surgeons, nurses, doctors' assistants, healthcare assistants, anaesthetists, radiographer, clerical/admin, catering/domestic assistants - made what was an unexpected, and potentially anxious, event for me so very easy.

I was kept informed at all times and was most impressed with the patience, kindness and cheery professionalism of all involved.
