"Treated like a practice test dummy at Northampton chest pain clinic"

About: Northampton General Hospital (Acute) / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I went to Northampton General's Rapid Access Chest Pain Clinic for an exercise tolerance test.

When I arrived there was only one nurse staffing the clinic, and she was rushed off her feet. Eventually, another nurse arrived to help, but that did not improve the treatment that I received. I felt the care I had was unfeeling. I could have been a practice test dummy, in no way was I treated like a real person. The nurses even spoke over me as they carried out the test, discussing going for drinks later that day. They didn't take any notice of me.

This was the first time I had been there and felt they could have been more friendly. It makes me not want to return. It was not a nice way to be treated, though they did treat me quickly and the clinic was clean.

I was also really embarrassed that I was left waiting for a while without a bra, this made the experience more uncomfortable.
