"A major disappointment and inconvenience"

About: Biggart Hospital Crosshouse Hospital

(as a relative),

My mother in law recently received an appointment at the Biggart hospital, which she dually attended. This was no mean feat as she lives in remotely, is elderly, poor mobility and a heart complaint. When she arrived she was told there had been a clerical error, her appt was actually at Crosshouse. This might just be a clerical error to the board, but a major disappointment and inconvenience for her.

Dear Trombone Shorty,

I am so sorry, this is such a nuisance for us all, let alone an elderly person with poor mobility and a heart complaint. In to the bargain, elderly people often get worked up before a clinic appointment and this may have just been the icing on the cake. It can be difficult for elderly people attending appointments. You don't say if your mother in law got to Crosshouse Hospital and had her Consultation. Perhaps we can help if it needs to be rearranged. I wonder if she may qualify for patient transport to attend future appointments? Also, would you like me to look into what went wrong here?
