"NHS- My thanks"

About: Inverclyde Royal Hospital / General Medicine ( wards G North, G South, J North, J South & L South)

(as the patient),

On the 21st of May around mid-day with no warning i suffered a heart attack at home, living only a mile from Inverclyde Royal Hospital my daughter immediately put me in the car and got there in no time at all. I was treated at A&E immediately, the team there realising i needed to go straight to the Golden Jubilee Hospital at Clydebank approximately 20 miles away.By Ambulance with IRH staff and Paramedic i was whisked there straight away.

On arrival i was taken straight to theatre where a Stent was inserted into my right artery in my heart.

At 2.30 i was sitting upright speaking to my wife and daughter having undergone life saving surgery.

I cannot express my thanks in words to Ian and his team at IRH and all the team at the Jubilee. Long live our NHS.

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to provide your very kind feedback.

I will ensure that this is passed on to those involved and I am sure that they will be very pleased to read your comments.

I am sorry that this posting was not acknowledged at the time, we had a break in our use of Patient Opinion, but we have now resumed doing so, and I thought it was still important to acknowledge your posting and where appropriate to pass comments on.

Once again please thank you for using the Patient Opinion feedback system, it is greatly appreciated.

All of the staff at the A & E at the Golden Jubilee will be delighted to read your very thoughtful remarks.
