"The attitude of the nursing staff"

About: Arrowe Park Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

The attitude of the nursing staff

What could be improved

Student doctors appearance, if i was to turn up to work as they do I would be sent home

Doctors spending time with elderly patients to explain their medication and treatment

Anything else?

On visiting the hospital I was astounded at the (I assume) doctors appearance,

Our Mum has been in hospital for three weeks, and not once had a visit from the doctor mentioned above her bed.

There is a lack of concern for elderly patients in all aspect, no personal care and left basically to look out into the beyond. Paracetamol seem the only pills of the day for whatever a patient is being treated for. These patients need some respect which granted is given on a few of the wards were the staff are understanding and caring. Age is a fact of life and people need to be treated accordingly. I found very little compassion and some of the wards smell of urine etc. not a good surrounding to be in.

Basically I and my family feel the hospital is failing in attendance for the elderly
