"The staff and the care taken"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency Crosshouse Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

Unfortunately I had an accident at work this month. I was taken to hospital in an ambulance. Staff were brilliant. I was then transferred to orthopaedics where they soon discovered I had fractured bones in my neck. With result I was kept in hospital for six days. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They are obviously short staffed but nothing was too much trouble for them and all done with a smile on their faces. Well done to each and every one.

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Cleveland,

I am sorry about your accident and fractured neck, but it sounds as if your recovery is going well, so that is great. (It must have ben a scary time)

I will be delighted to pass your thanks to the team and I know it will be very much appreciated by them all. Thank you for sharing this experience with us and I hope you are fully recovered as soon as possible.

best wishes,

Eunice
