Can I suggest that you at least try to enforce your policy of no smoking within the precincts of the hospital.I was there yesterday and had to wait inside for my transport to avoid the polution of cigarette smoke,just outside the doors.I approached your staff who were unwilling to act,quoting abuse as a reason,Can I suggest to you that putting notices up is not a deterent and to make your rules effective you have to back up your edicts. It is grossly unfair to non smokers like myself to have to run the gauntlet of this life threatening polution in order to gain access to the hospital for treatment,as we have done for years now,smoking in your grounds and in particular just outside the hospital doors is offensive. You should instruct your security staff to evict from your grounds anyone in breach of the rules which you yourselves have made
