"The receptionist was very helpful ..."

About: Watford General Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

The receptionist was very helpful and so was the guy who put on the plaster cast who was extremely pleasant also, he also helped me get a taxi as I was on my own.

What could be improved

The Doctors attitude, I was nearly not going to get an X-ray only for the fact I pushed for one and luckily I did. The woman who did the x-ray from talking with the doctor I felt as if I was being talked down to, until she confirmed I had a fracture. What I am very surprised about is that I never saw the doctor again, only the guy who done my cast. Lack of aftercare for me is shocking, even to explain the fracture and what I should do and what will happen next, in addition my GP said they should have given me a sick cert which they didnt. I am very dubious about returning there. The waiting room was pretty dirty. I have been to another A&E and in comparison Watford was very poor
