Dear Pixie grant,

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, this must be an incredibly difficult time for you and our thoughts are with you.

Thank you for taking the time to express your gratitude to the teams involved in your husband's care which I will share with them.

Many staff touch our lives as you have shown the teams have involved NHS 24, Ambulance services, A&E, Ward 5 and the Theatre teams however just as staff touch your life, patients and relatives touch ours with sensitive stories like yours. Thank you for sharing.

Please take care, with kind regards

Gwen

Dear Pixie Grant

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your story on Patient Opinion at what, I fully appreciate, will be a difficult time for you and your family. I am very sorry to hear of the loss of your husband and I offer you, and your family, my sincere condolences.

It is very kind of you to provide complimentary feedback on the care provided to your husband and I am sure my colleagues within other areas of the health service will be pleased to read your positive comments also.

I am especially pleased to note your reference to NHS 24. Should you care to provide me with any additional detail, I would be pleased to share your feedback directly with the staff involved in your husband's care here at NHS 24. I can be contacted on 0141 337 4582 or by email at patientaffairs@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk

I will however ensure that your story is shared more widely within NHS 24 as this is an excellent example of services working together to provide the best possible care to patients and their families.

I do wish you and your family well at this difficult time. Thank you again for your kind words.

With regards

Shona
