"The best care provided by supportive staff"

About: North Devon District Hospital / Maternity care

My experience in the maternity until both in labour, surgery and on the ward with my baby was incredible. The environment is comfortable and clean but the staff are what counts and they were great. After a 40 hour labour, C-section and 2 nights on the ward we went through many changes in staff and handovers, each member of staff assigned to me knew exactly what was going on and each were as kind as each other. From the midwives to higher members of staff I felt safe at a time when I had lost contrrol of looking after myself and ,y experience was a positive one. Would recommend having your baby here to anyone and would be devastated if it was closed.

Dear Anneka

Thank you so much for posting your positive feedback regarding your recent birth and stay on the ward, and I would firstly like to apologise for the delay in responding.

I was really pleased to see you had such good care, and that you were treated with kindness and compassion, at what was obviously a worrying time. I have shared your kind comments with the delivery and ward managers, where they will be greatly appreciated and shared withe the staff.

I wish you a very happy Christmas with your new baby, and a happy and health 2017

Kind regards

.
