"Excellent professional and so caring"

I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of the Cumberland Center's Minor Injury Unit. I came in with a burned hand. The reception staff were quick, efficient and polite. I was called within about 2 minutes of sitting down to see the nurse. They were fantastic! I was feeling quite close to tears at the time, with the shock and pain. This nurse put me at my ease, and made me laugh several times :-) Their care was highly professional and they sought further input from the manager when they needed it. Another member of staff too was wonderful. The whole treatment was handled quickly and kindly and yet there was time to be human and relate - which was so important, as when one has had an injury, shock and the emotional side of the injury is a huge part of it, in addition to the physical injury. So, 10 out of 10 for care and concern and the whole treatment! On my follow up visit, I was also treated so professionally, quickly and well. That occasion, I took more notice of the environment and as a mother, I was really impressed with the provision for babies and children. Hopefully my son won't injure himself and need a visit to the center, but if he ever does, this would definitely be my first choice for injury care!
