"Stour/gipping wards"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Gynaecology

The day of my surgery i had fantastic care from the nurses as mysrlf and 3 others were moved upstairs to the gipping ward as stour ward was full. We had the best care ever on that day 2 nurses to four of us. The locam surgeon i had was fantastic they listened to my concerns about being put to sleep while i had my op i asked for a spinal block as i had one while i had a retained placenta how was this op any different to that as i was in for retained priduct after miscarriage they agreed but it had to be the anesthatist decision which i was so lucky they also agreed to a spinal block. I cannot of asked for a better team that day. The nurses were fab one of them was agency.this was 25th october 2016. Alot more could be said about the peggy cole unit absolutely shocking this isnt the first time ive been under peggy cole unit. X

Thank you for taking the time to leave your kind comments, I will pass this on to the teams concerned who will be thrilled to see how listening and amending the care you received had such a positive impact on your treatment. I would like to know more about your experiences on Peggy Cole, could give me a call on 01473 702101 at your convenience. Many thanks Steve Bruce - Patient Experience Team
