In this day and age, when so many people seem to complain about our NHS, I would just like to say how amazingly impressed I have been with the absolutely excellent treatment I’ve received from the Neurosurgery Team at Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham!
I underwent a procedure for a subdural haematoma and felt so grateful for the speed and efficiency this was completed – the surgical team led by Mr G Dow must have been totally brilliant as I felt so ‘normal’ when I came round after the anaesthetic, I couldn’t quite believe what had happened. The nursing team and therapist on the ward were also very kind and understanding with a genuine smile each time they came to carry out their checks, making you feel valued as a patient and individual. In addition, the hospitality staff were all pleasant and cheerful as well, and the food was nice too! The beds were really comfortable and I felt almost like I was a private patient!
This hospital seems to be organised so effectively that even with the recent check-up a couple of months later, I was seen promptly for my appointment and by Mr Dow. Queen’s Medical Centre seems efficiency personified and together with its caring staff, I could not commend my experience highly enough.
My own son, too has had his young daughter treated at this hospital in different department and he, together with his wife are also very praiseworthy of QMC (my own treatment it seems is not unique).
What a wonderful ‘flagship’ for the NHS this hospital and its dedicated staff - just amazing! !
