"A colonoscopy procedure"

About: Victoria Hospital / Endoscopy

(as the patient),

When I arrived, I was given a gown and dignity pants to change into by one of the nurses. I then sat in the waiting room for a short period before being called. The procedure was explained to myself by Paul before signing anything with another nurse and I was asked if I had a any concerns.

All of the staff were very helpful and put me at ease as I felt a bit apprehensive. Paul also brought me toast and tea and explained the result of the procedure before calling my husband to collect me. I can't praise the staff highly enough.

Dear SusanM

Thank you for taking the time to give your feedback on Patient Opinion regarding your recent endoscopy experience.

I can completely understand why you would be apprehensive about coming for a colonoscopy and it was lovely to read that our staff were able to put you at ease, keep you informed and support you well throughout your stay with us.

I will share your post with all our staff who will be grateful for your kind words. We don't have a nurse called Paul so I wonder if it was Craig who looked after you?

I hope that you have recovered well.

Kind regards

Gill Ogden
