I attended Gartnaval Hospital for an emergency eye clinic appointment I must stay although the waiting time was four hours I could not fault any of the care I had from nursing staff to the consultant, the only problem was within this department there was no visable water machines in the waiting area. This is not good if your a diabetic patient who was hungry and a vending machine only having chocolate I could not eat I would ask if this could be available in future.
I would also like to bring to the attention about the patient toilets on the ground floor of the hospital, I went to use this toilet on the day in question when I entered the toilets I had to leave these toilets were a disgrace and not up to the standards you would expect in a hospital the smell of urine etc was terrible that I had to find somewhere else to use so that I could take my insulin in a clean area.
"Care was good, but lack of water and unclean toilets not up to standard"
