"excellent care"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / General Medicine

(as a relative),

My brother who has a severe learning disability was admitted from outpatients to ward 205. He was in for several weeks and throughout that time had wonderful care.

Sister Heidi and all the nurses were patient and kind with a very high standard of nursing care. Medical staff led by Dr Penman could not have been better, the phlebotomist Jamie was a miracle worker and the ladies who went round with the teawere also friendly, patient and helpful. Sister also spent some considerable time liaising with social services to arrange after care.

Dear Peters sister

Thank you very much for your lovely feedback following your brother's admission from his outpatient appointment to ward 205 at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. I have passed your kind words onto all the team, who I am sure will be delighted with this feedback.

Kind regards

Jeannette

Update posted by Peters sister (a relative)

I should also have mentioned Susan, the hospital learning disabilities nurse.

Susan paved the way for the outpatient appointment, giving friendly helpful information and support. She then kept in touch and visited my brother on the ward. Thank you Susan.

Dear Peters sister

I would like to thank you on behalf of myself and the team in ward 205 for your kind feedback. It was a pleasure to nurse Peter as he always made us smile even on the busiest of days, as well as keeping the night staff company through the night.

We greatly appreciate you taking the time to feedback

Our thoughts are with you at this time

Kind regards

All in ward 205
