"Nothing was like visiting Beirut ..."

About: Central Middlesex Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Nothing was like visiting Beirut on a bad day patients with infectious disease e.g. TB were all in the same area and Drs were extremely rude. My husband was not given anything to drink in nearly 20 hours and left on a trolley -sent home without a diagnosis still in pain.

What could be improved

Everything-I couldn't even find out how he was doing or where he was. No one in the department answered the phone. Staff were clearly over worked and Drs needed improvement in bedside manner-if there were any beds to be had that was.

The place was also extremely dirty.

Anything else?

Nope would never go there again not even in an emergency.

We were sorry to learn of the experiences you describe and would be happy to investigate if you would like us to do so - you can register your concerns formally by writing to Fiona Wise, Chief Executive, at Northwick Park Hospital, Watford Road, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 3 UJ, or by emailing trust @nwlh.nhs.uk. In the meantime your concerns will be passed on to the relevant manager.
