I gave birth in the labour ward in May 2016. I was extremely impressed with the lever of care provided by everyone, from the more junior staff to the surgeons. Everyone was so very caring and genuine. The anaesthetist put me at ease during my emergency c section and all the nurses who looked after me subsequently were very quick to help and always had time for me, no matter how many times I asked for help with things like breastfeeding. My only gripe would be that my breech was only diagnosed last minute, but that's more because the NHS doesn't scan after 20 weeks so not their fault.
