"Thank you for all the fantastic work"

About: East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust / Emergency ambulance Lincoln County Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I was taken into Lincoln County Hospital by ambulance. This is an heartfelt expression of appreciation to all I have had contact with during my three weeks in Lincoln County Hospital. I had a serious abdominal condition, which was dealt with in the most professional way, from getting into the ambulance at home, and to the present moment I could not have had better treatment anywhere. I am writing this as the NHS get enough negative comments, and I think it is about time people understand how hard the Doctors, Nurses, Carers, and many other staff work. I have spent many nights awake, and I was amazed how busy the night staff are. So to conclude I would like to to say how much I appreciate Lincoln County Hospital. Thank you for the fantastic work you have done on my behalf. THANK YOU TO YOU ALL.

Dear Golfing Butcher

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and kind words.

Whilst sorry to hear you were unwell and required an emergency ambulance and hospital treatment, I am pleased that you received good quality care.

It's important that our colleagues see praise such as this and so we will look to include an extract of your feedback in our weekly staff e-magazine to highlight the professional care you received. If you would like us to send a personal thank you to the ambulance crew that responded, please send a short email to our Patient Advice and Liaison Service via emas.pals@nhs.net including the date, time and location for the call and they will then be able to identify the ambulance crew and share your praise with them.

Kind regards, and wishing you a good recovery.

Melanie Wright

Deputy Director of Communications and Engagement
