my mother has just been discharged after a four week stay.
She received excellent nursing and personal care during her stay.
She was there for rehab after breaking her hip.
I would highly recommend this ward as a service, the only main issue is communication within the teams i.e. how nursing, OT, physiotherapy, and Social services link up together.
It seems that each depart is task focussed and there is not one person overseeing the patient from start to finish.
This leads to misunderstandings and mistakes.
However, this is a problem with the administration of the hospital and not with the staff themselves.
"excellent care, but communication issues"
