About: University Hospital Wishaw / Day Surgery University Hospital Wishaw / Pre Operative Assessment

(as the patient),

I had an appointment recently to have a polyp removed from from my lower colon.

Appointment was for 08. 00 and I was back in the day Surgery Unit at Wishaw General Hospital - by 11. 30 (ish) procedure completed.

Staff were wonderful, service quick, efficient and friendly.

I was continually briefed on progress.

Sad to see such highly trained clinical professionals using their valuable time to serve tea, coffee, sandwiches and biscuits though - not that I didn't appreciate it greatly at the time! !

Mainy thanks for taking the time to provide your comments. I am delighted to hear that your experience was such a positive one. Providing refreshments post procedure is a very small aspect of the staffs role but an important part of your care. The staff ensure that that there are no post procedure complications for all patients who have undergone many different procedures and this gives them the opportunity to ensure that patients are fully recovered before being discharged. I will share your comments with the staff in the unit as they will be happy to hear that your expereince was so positive,
