"I owe my life to this hospital"

About: Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital NHS Trust HQ / Cardiology

I had two heart attacks in April 2014. I was transferred to Broadgreen from Whiston. I spent 15 days on Birch ward, followed by a quadruple bypass and then 6 days on Oak ward. I am now fit and well and in excellent health for a man of my 67 years. I was fit enough to care for my wife during her final illness last year. I would not be here if it were not for the skill, the care, the teamwork and the support of everyone I met at Broadgreen. Thank you everyone.

Dear Mr Fyles,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience as a patient at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. It's clearly been a really difficult and emotional time for you in the past couple of years, which makes us even more grateful to receive such kind feedback. We're really glad to hear that you are now fit and well and send our very best and warmest wishes to you for continued good health.
