"Do not have your baby here- you deserve betrr"

About: Birmingham Women's Hospital / Maternity care

I have just had my second baby at a wonderful hospital, where I was looked after, cared for and treated with respect.

My first baby was at the women's and was an appalling experience, I was diagnosed with post traumatic stress and had a relapse of MS and infection in my c section wound. I was severely neglected and basically just left despite being a high risk patient. My baby ended up in special care and the staff on the ward would not check on her progress for me, I had to make my way down to the unit myself. I missed drugs rounds and efnded up really poorly. I have had severe nightmares for 3 years and was petrified when I found out I was pregnant again. Luckily we had relocated and would attend another hospital, I would not even visit friends or family in Birmingham in last few months as was scared would end up back at that hell hole! I did complain to pals but it wasn't followed up at all. I have since found out that due to a very bad c section scar from the women's I can no longer carry children. I have now sought legal advice. Ladies of Birmingham please please do not have your babies there. They ruined a joyous occasion for me and my partner and I am continuing to suffer.
