I had a rather worrying sudden loss of short term memory and having visited my GP was referred to the TIA clinic.
The referral was done on Wednesday and I was called to go to the clinic the following morning at 11am.
From the very warm welcome until the moment I left, the whole experience was way beyond what I had expected.
The host nurse was wonderful, supportive, understanding and caring and was so organised arranging appointments for scans, blood tests and other procedures, filling the gaps with arranging lunches and hot or cold drinks.
By the time I left at 3:30pm and I'm pleased to say with a diagnosis that was more positive than I expected, a range of tests had been completed including an MRI scan and I had sat with the whole team including the lead consultant for a final discussion and explanation of my symptoms and a diagnosis.
What a truly tip top experience.
Thanks you.
