About: Kelling Hospital

No initial liason with close relative. Confrontational senior nurses who should have recommended that i see the resident doctor, but instead appeared to take over my relative's care, not only ignoring everything i repeatedly said but totally ignoring the fact that the patient was rapidly dteriorating & making exactly the same mistakes that the hospital she had been transferred from initially made. they never confront me with their concerns yet quote rules & regulations that were to the detriment of my relative's well-being. i have now becomer so ill from worry, sense of helplessness, & sleepnessness that i am not able to visit. the senior nurses are not medically trained so should never ignore any detioration in their patients without consulting both the doctor & the patient's live-in carers.

We are sorry to learn about your experiences and the frustration and stress that this has caused you with regards to your relative's care whilst on Pineheath ward, Kelling Hospital.

We would welcome an opportunity to understand this in more detail which you can do through contacting us in PALS, telephone 0800 088 4449 or if you would like to make a complaint we have a Complaints Team who will liaise with you at all stages of the investigation and will advise you what changes are made as a result of your complaint, what lessons have been learnt, and how services will be improved.

Making a complaint will not affect any care and treatment you may be receiving and all complaints are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
