"Fantastic maternity care"

About: Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital

I spent in total 9 nights between ward 16, birthing centre and scbu all before I had my baby and afterwards. All staff from domestic, health care assistants, midwives to the consultant were excellent and I felt really well cared for when going through the whole experience. It was so lovely that my husband could stay with me and he was looked after as was our newborn baby girl. Its really nice that all staff in those wards take time to make you feel updated and informed with a personal touch in such a very busy environment - we really did appreciate it, thank you.

Many Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl – what an exciting time for you, your husband & the rest of your family.

Sounds like you've had a pretty tough time through it all? I am so pleased that you felt well cared for throughout. I am also delighted that you were comforted by having your husband close at hand at all times – giving him precious early bonding moments with his newborn daughter.

We understand how important this is and it's reassuring to hear that however busy the team were, that your care felt very personal to you. That's just the way we like it to be!

It will be a pleasure to pass on your kind and thoughtful review to all the staff involved with your care, I know it will make them feel proud.
