Arrived in A&E by ambulance 2.5 hours ago.
Been sat in a corridor for 2.5 hours and counting.
Nobody has checked in on us, or provided any information.
I have tried asking twice whether we need to be here - but the replies are rude 'wait your turn'.
Logic seems to say if it's a low enough priority to be literally abandoned and ignored for 2.5 hours+ without even a triage then maybe we don't even need to be here?
Interestingly taking a quick look on a staff screen, the time stamp of waiting time is showing 40 minutes, so completely inaccurate as a record.
Communication terrible, staff rude - and currently people piled up in corridors essentially abandoned.
Including one man currently appearing on a drug come-down vomiting and shouting/wailing - again being ignored by staff. Disgusting low level of care about people on display.
I appreciate the NHS is under resourced - but care and communication cost nothing. Don't mind how long it takes, but communication and not being rude are essential basic skills surely?
"A & E staff rude and poorly organised"
