"Very poor customer service, would not recommend!"

About: Fitzwilliam Hospital

I took my wife to an appointment here as a self funding patient and was appalled by the complete lack of customer service.

After arrival we were directed to the X-ray department and when my wife approached the desk and although free the receptionist snapped at her to 'wait there' after being booked in we waited over 30 mins for her to be seen for X-ray. We were then directed back to the entrance area where the staff completely ignored us, my wife had to interrupt a group of staff in the office to ask where we should go next. My wife's appointment was for 1140 and it was over 1 hour before we actually seen the consultant.

There appears to be no system for 'managing' people movement past the main reception as we met another patient who had a similar experience to ourselves.

I would not recommend this Hospital to anyone especially if they are paying for the privilege, as we were, We've had much better'patient experiences' in most NHS Hospitals.
