On 04/08/16, I had a bad fall outside an Asda store. The Ambulance was called, and I waited no more than approx 10-15 munutes for it to arrive. I was taken to the Royal Blackburn A & e department, and was seen by a doctor with 15 minutes. I was taken to the X-Ray department within minutes, I waited only about 15 minutes for the X-Ray to be taken, and was then taken back to A & E Again within a few minutes, I was seen, was told that I had fractured my pubkic bone, and was given all the advice needed. As I could not get into my own transport, I was taken home by ambulance and although the nurse said I might have quite a wait before the ambulancs service could take me home, I was astounded when two paramedics arrived to take me home within a matter of minutes. My attendance to A & E was necessary, and the service from leaving the Asda superstore to arriving back home was second to none. I could not have been treated any better had I been a private patient, and I really do resent people who moan and groan about the waiting times. Perhaps I was lucky, but even if my waiting time had been longer, there would have been no complaint. Well Done and a sincere 'thank-you'to all who helped and supported me. I am happy to go public with this comment at any time. M Whalley (Mrs)
