I have to say I am devastated of the treatment and care at durham on the tree tops ward . My son is 6weeks old and was there for a possible floppy larynx which was never checked for. The doctor while checking him (my son was obviously crying he had just had a bottle and fell asleep and was woken) however this doctor stuck their unsanitised, non gloved finger in my sons mouth with out mentioning and said "aww does that taste nice"
They also refused him a cot so he was in his car seat from 3:30 in the afternoon until ten at night! They also provided the wrong milk (as it was the first to hand) as they handed me it they said this May give him a bad stomach. Obviously I had to give him it I wouldn't and couldn't let him starve. The list is endless not to mention the way I was spoken to by a nurse. A lot of people should not be aloud to work with children! Luckily after being discharged I went to another hospital where they gave him actual care and were professional and put him first. I would never recommend any one to that hospital. I wish there was more I could do than just a complaint! My son is my priority although the staff at that ward said he wasn't for some reason.
I came home to my partner in floods of tears after treatment there.
"Treetops ward can not stress enough how bad..."
