What I liked
I was the first child patient to be moved from the old childrens ward to the new children's department at Whiston Hospital. I spent 15 days in hospital (11 in the old ward, 4 in the new ward) although the surroundings changed for the better, the care and attention received from all the consultants, doctors, nurses and auxiliary could not of been improved. my thanks to all that had been involved in my speedy recovery.
What could be improved
The only criticism I have, is that some form of pack should be made available to all patients and parents of inpatient upon entry to hospital.
Top of my list would of been the 50% reduced of 10 parking tickets for the multi story.(very important when you have parents visiting 3 times aday and even staying over night)
other information that could be included to help pay for this information sheet, local Tesco, opening times of the restaurant. taxi services and hospital contact numbers of help groups. Can mobiles be used on the ward?, is the internet available other than via the tv service?
