"Bad experience with X-ray personnel"

I was sent to the x-ray department by my GP for pain in my right foot - this had been x-rayed at the hospital some weeks ago without establishing the cause of the problem - for this reason my GP wanted x-rays of both feet for comparison purposes. When I arrived the assistant said they would only x-ray the right foot as there was no pain in the left foot and showed me a document with my symptoms printed. I pointed out that the same document clearly requested x-rays of right foot and left foot. They then went to get their superior who charged into the room without any introduction and addressed me in a nasty unpleasant fashion stating that "we do not have to do what your doctor requests" and then they walked out. Since when do radiographers override the doctors explicit instructions and from where does this individual acquire the right to speak patients in this impertinent manner? NHS staff request that they are treated with respect in pursuance of their duties. Perhaps this employee should be reminded that this should be reciprocal arrangement.
