Unfortunately I had reason to call the 111 service during a short break in Cambridge.
I had inadvertently left my insulin at home - a call to the 111 service ensued and after answering all the required questions and providing necessary details, a call back from a GP was received within 10 minutes.
The GP couldn't have been more helpful and asked me to attend the medical centre so that they could issue me with a prescription for the necessary insulin.
I took longer than anticipated to arrive and they called me to make sure everything was ok.
I confirmed that I was almost there !
Upon arrival, the GP greeted me with a smile and a cheery demeanor, went through some details and provided the prescription. I would like to say a big thank you to the GP who has a lovely manner which is so nice these days! You are what the NHS needs and lets hope they appreciate you!
Thank you again :)
