The Sure Start worker Jacqui played a key role in linking me in to other services which I wouldn't have otherwise known about. These were a parenting course on autism and (via a referral to the Family Service) a course on Non-violent Resistance to help manage my son's behavior. But the most important thing the Sure Start worker did was really listen to help identify the best way forward. I felt supported without feeling judged. I also felt Jacqui was willing to 'go the extra mile' to help us get a good outcome as a family.
