"Cannot praise doctor and team enough!"

About: Pilgrim Hospital / Ophthalmology

We have been going to Pilgrim Hospital with our son for the last 6 years, prior to that he had been seen at a hospital in London, as we lived in London at the time ( well known for their eye dept at the time). He is now 9 years old, and has recently had two eye operations (Intraocular lens transplant) due to congenital cataracts. It was only due to the doctor here that these cataracts were even picked up, the previous hospital in London never mentioned it, and he would definitely have had them at the time. My son has been wearing glasses since he was 18 months, but now due to the brilliant service and care received by the team my son's prescription has now dropped from -8 to -1, and he couldn't be happier. He does still have to wear glasses, but the speed at which the referral was done to Great Ormond Street meant he is still young enough to forget the whole ordeal. He can now catch, play football and has less frustrations all thanks to this doctor and the fact he picked up the cataracts when the other hospital in London did not. I have to say all those that feel Pilgrim Hospital is not providing a good service, I have to wholeheartedly disagree. We are so lucky we live in a small town, originally from London, Boston is a haven in comparison. Again, thank you doctor and team!
